HOW NOW SHALL I LIVE? – SERMON

INTRODUCTORY SERMON FOR SERIES

TITUS 2:11-15

Then inevitably the QUESTIONS comes: “HOW NOW SHALL I LIVE?”

#1. TURN AROUND

Titus 2:12 “And we are instructed to TURN FROM godless living and sinful pleasures.”

John 14:17 “The Holy Spirit will teach you ALL THINGS.”

Titus 2:12b “We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God.”

#2. LOOK AHEAD

Titus 2:12b-13 “We should live in this evil world with WISDOM, righteousness, and devotion to God, ¹³ While we look FORWARD with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.”

2 Corinthians 3:18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

#3. LIVE FREE

Titus 2:14 “He gave His life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.”

#4. TEACHING

Titus 2:15 “You must teach these things and encourage believers to do them.”

Revelation 12:11 “And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.”

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
